How do we resist the return of fascism?

This event has now ended. Watch the recording below.

A week before Trump’s scandalous second state visit to the UK, we held a panel discussion with leading anti-fascist voices from different regions of the world to examine strategies of resistance to prevent the return of fascism, a century after its birth in Italy. Together, we address the fascist threat in the United States, Europe, India, and beyond—and, more importantly, how we can resist it together through international solidarity, activism, and the exchange of ideas.

* How can we defend democracy from the global spread of authoritarianism and creeping fascism?
* How can we end war and genocide, defend human rights and stand up for international law from Palestine to Ukraine?
* How do we advocate for resisting the climate emergency when scientists and universities are under severe threat of defunding and crucial evidence is being dismissed and destroyed?

Luke Cooper (academic, LSE) hosts a discussion with:
* Mary Kaldor (academic, LSE)
* Judith Levine (journalist, essayist, author)
* Seema Syeda (activist, Stop Trump Coalition)
* Ananya Vajpeyi (Political theorist, CSDS)
* Vincenzo Fiore (Manifesto di Londra activist and scientist)
