This month the UK Government increased financial pressure on Russia when it sanctioned Lukoil and Rusneft, two of the biggest Russian oil companies. Reeves also took aim at businesses in third countries that she said, continue to facilitate getting Russian oil onto global markets. But a massive 76% of total exports of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) was actually carried or insured by UK companies.
Companies like Glasgow-based Seapeak continue to ensure Russian gas is traded globally and the profits flow directly into Putin’s war coffers.
Join experts and campaigners from Razom We Stand, Ukraine Solidarity Campaign Scotland and the Stop Seapeak Coalition to find out how we can end UK complicity.
