Time to drop the red lines

In the decade since Brexit, we’ve seen six prime ministers come and go, while living standards are dropping, costs are rising and hate and racism are taking root. This cycle needs to end.

In order to stem political instability, growing division and rising inequality, this government must urgently change its approach to our closest neighbours.

We call on Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband to embrace a bold and forward-looking approach to a close relationship with the EU.

Let’s cut the red lines and show that the UK is ready to seek collaboration, mutual support and a path to our common good to fight the challenges of today.
